Ivy Bound Math Level 1 – SAT Subject Test
Ivy Bound tutors have the ability to help your student get high scores, often perfect scores, on the Math Level 1 and 2. Level 1 Math has a severe scale. It gives no leeway for careless mistakes. Students have to know their math AND be careful on the test to get a perfect 800. We teach the hard math, review the easier math, and steel students for the wide variety of questions they might grapple with on test day.
Enlisting a tutor helps your student not only master Math Level 1 and 2, but works towards overall academic success. We make sure our tutors create a pressure free environment to foster learning at the student’s pace. Contact us today, and we can get you a tutor to meet you at your convenience. This is primarily online tutoring, but you can ask for a tutor in your region who is willing to work in person.

Who is helped by a high Math Level 1 Score?
While an 800 score is impressive anywhere, a 700 to 790 Level 1 score impresses most colleges. Almost every one of our diligent students reaches 700+ (in 18 years we have counted five who didn’t reach the 700 level). The Level 1 Math thus becomes a good credential for almost all colleges. It is a VERY good credential if your Math Subject Test score is well above your SAT Math score.
A high Math Level 1 score can be essential if your school grade in math is low. Maybe you had a difficult teacher; maybe you chose to focus that semester on other subjects. Showing a 750 score lets college admissions officers conclude “this student knows math!”, even if the transcript shows a B- in last year’s math class.
Students of all levels can benefit from math tutoring. Many will enlist us for academic math tutoring throughout the year and let the tutor turn to the Level 1 Subject Test for four to ten weeks towards the end of the year. A math tutor for the academic year can give you the chance to slow down and really focus on learning the material step by step. One-on-one math level 1 and 2 tutoring means that you can work at your own pace, every session. There is no need to feel embarrassed if you have to ask a question or if you need to review a concept again.
Signing on here for 30 or more hours allows a full semester of tutoring that includes Math Level 1 prep

Ivy Bound Classes
Do you work better with having a class agenda? Would you prefer a set time every week for an additional class? Then try out an Ivy Bound class! Our classes meet on different schedules, but choosing one that works for you is very simple. Classes meet with a teacher and complete a full agenda to help you with whatever subject you need.
Our classes are advantageous for three types of students:
1) those who want a lower price for great academic results
2) one who is more comfortable with dynamic group work
3) those who like a “classroom” setting.
Our online classes are conducted formally with strict starting times and break times. The structure keeps our staff and students consistent. Is your student shy when asking questions in the classroom? Fear no more! The online classroom experience allows for questions to be asked anonymously, so there is no pressure if a student is having a difficult time learning a specific topic. In the online classroom setting, all students have the ability to be active and learn effectively.
Ivy Bound Groups

Students are able to attend for 90 minutes on each group date.
Can’t make a predetermined group meeting time? Then start your own group! Ivy Bound allows students to form their own group and choose what time they would like to meet. Simply tell us how many students you have, when you would like to meet, and Ivy Bound takes care of the rest.
