SSAT/ISEE Prep

The most valuable tests a Middle School student can take

The Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) and Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) may now be the most important tests a middle school child can take. A good score on either test is a credential to one of the best opportunities in the world: a private, selective secondary school education.

Parents who want to see their child thrive routinely find better opportunities within private schools. If the world of Prep School is new to you, consider conferring with other parents who have selected private school for their upper schoolers.

Parents routinely point to the benefits of private education:

  • smaller classes

  • engaged teachers

  • greater extra-curricular opportunities

  • minimal disciplinary concerns

  • better administrators

  • more ambitious classmates

Enough college graduates from prep schools reflect on their prep school years as more rewarding than their college years to conclude that good middle and high school education can be more important than college.

Ivy Bound takes especially good care of its SSAT and ISEE students. We are seasoned at all forms of test prep, and the majority of our students join us in 10th and 11th grades for the ACT, SAT, and APs. But many students joining for SSAT/ISEE prep need study skills as well. An Ivy Bound tutor will usually be an effective marshal for keeping a student on task with math skills, reading skills, short verbal skills, and vocabulary absorption.
