About me
Kevin Weaver has 25+ years of experience tutoring. Formerly from Pennsylvania, Kevin did undergraduate studies at Bloomsburg State College and graduate studies at Bucknell University. As an educator, he taught high school mathematics in Connecticut, served as an adjunct professor at The Golf Academy of America (Microcomputer Applications) in California, and as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Community College (Mathematics) in Florida. He developed the “College Algebra” and “Business Mathematics” curriculum for a local San Diego college and currently serves as an adjunct professor at the San Diego college. He has also contributed mathematics problems and solutions for several courses offered by a national online university. In 2009, Kevin published The SAT Mathematics Solution Guide©, an 80-page book that provides comprehensive explanations for all of the math problems from the 8 sample tests published in The Official SAT Study Guide™ by the College Board (1st Edition) and supplements for the additional 3 tests (2nd Edition). In 2021, Kevin published Quantitative Reasoning © , the textbook used in the college course he teaches. Business-wise, he joined 11 others to build an international computer software and services company and provided business solutions using a high-level mathematics and scientific computer programming language. He continues to be a consultant to several corporations specifically specializing in Excel application development Kevin joined the team at Top Tier Admissions in 2016 and tutors students (via ZOOM and in-person locally in San Diego, CA) for the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, and academic tutoring for Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry and Pre-Calc.
