My name is Anjali Mangla. l am a junior at Yale in the Class of 2024. As a math and science peer tutor in high school, I helped raise my peers’ grades from the B range to the A range in Precalculus, Algebra II, and Chemistry. I am very interested in science and mathematics, but I also love to sing a cappella and discuss current events in my free time. I am currently a faculty member at Harvard College, where I teach writing courses for undergraduate and graduate students. I completed my Ph.D. in English at Princeton University in 2021. Hello! My name is Rich and I am a test-prep coach with 10+ years of experience working with students in Brighton, MA, and around the Greater Boston Area. I started working with Ivy Bound in August 2006. Since then, I have helped dozens of students achieve higher scores on the SAT and similar exams. Several of my students achieved perfect scores, while every student improved an average of 200 points from their pre-tutoring scores. Kevin Weaver has 25+ years of experience tutoring. Formerly from Pennsylvania, Kevin did undergraduate studies at Bloomsburg State College and graduate studies at Bucknell University. As an educator, he taught high school mathematics in Connecticut, served as an adjunct professor at The Golf Academy of America (Microcomputer Applications) in California, and as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Community College (Mathematics) in Florida. I attended Wesleyan University, graduating in 2006 with degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy. Currently, I split my time between New York and Connecticut. In New York, I attended CUNY Graduate Center. I graduated with a PhD in Philosophy in 2019. I had been an adjunct professor of philosophy at Queens College, now at WCSU, teaching symbolic logic. My name is Mihir Ram. I joined Vanderbilt University in the fall of 2021. I am majoring in mathematics. Math is definitely my strong suit. I exhausted my high school’s math curriculum in junior year, and received an A in Calc III after taking a self-taught math course my senior year of high school. A graduate of Yale University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Justin draws inspiration from all the brilliant teachers he has had. For two years, he was a full-time instructor at The Rainard School for Gifted Students in Houston, where he worked enthusiastically with a variety of children, many of whom had learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD. While pursuing his Master’s degree at the University of Iowa’s top-ranked writing program, Justin taught literature and writing to college undergraduates and high school students. A successful Ivy Bound tutor since 2011, Justin is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Houston, where he is a teaching fellow.

My tutoring experience over the years varies from tutoring my classmates in a multitude of subjects, to privately tutoring younger kids in math. I also have prior experience tutoring a small group of children in India, who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, in English while visiting for the summer.
