About me
I’ve taught composition and literature courses at the community college and university levels for the last 14 years, so much of my tutoring experience has come during individual conferences at office hours. In addition, I’ve worked as a tutor and classroom instructor for the verbal section of the SAT for the last four years, working with students of widely varying preparation levels and learning styles. Alongside my teaching, I’ve had a parallel career in journalism, editing and writing, both in print and online. As a result, I can bring a practicing writer’s knowledge of craft, and not just an instructor’s view, to my work with my students.
