About me

I have I have been tutoring the SAT and ACT since 2014, working with students one-on-one as well as teaching larger classes. I especially love working with students on college admissions essays, helping them incorporate the vibrant, personal details that make an essay stand out. I’m a very empathetic person and a good listener, and my teaching approach is individualized to each student. I also work to make the tutoring experience positive and fun, because I believe students learn the most when they are motivated to be present and engaged with the material.

I love trying new things and going to new places, so since starting college, I’ve been to 20 countries and 30 U.S. states! My hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, and aerial dance, but one of my favorite things to do is ride my bicycle through a new city and see where the day takes me. I also enjoy reading books and listening to podcasts.
